Wiles Woodwork is a design-oriented, client-centred woodworking company located in Wakefield, Québec, specializing in custom-built pine furniture, cabinetry, and accessories. Although we do make a number of standard products, our specialty is to design and build custom solutions to our clients' specific problems. Our greatest reward is a satisfied client.
Brian Wiles, the Owner of Wiles Woodwork received his design training during his
architectural education in England. He has been practising woodwork throughout his adult
life. The combination of his design capability and his woodworking skills enables him to
produce unique, custom woodwork specifically tailored to his clients' needs.
Our approach is client-centred. You, the client, contact us with your particular needs and, together, we assess whether we can simply build what you require or whether an on-site consultation is necessary (which is often the case). If a consultation is required, there will be no charge for locations within 50 km of our headquarters in Wakefield.
In many cases our clients are very clear what they want and the consultation is simply a matter of establishing dimensions and other details. Often a client has a particular issue to for which there is no immediately obvious solution. In this case we will use our design expertise to come up with a design that resolves the issue.
This website illustrates examples of our work. Most of what you see was designed to meet specific client needs. Though we have standardized some products, such as dining chairs and garden furniture, the sizes and configurations of most items can be varied to suit your particular requirements. As you can see, we have made a wide variety of products in response to specific client requests. We are always interested in meeting new design challenges.
